Humm a good pesto, home made is always super good and in addition Mister and I adore it ! But as it is not so much the season of the basilisk (finally it starts barely), here’s a pesto of arugula, sheep’s milk cheese, the Pecorino (to change a little of the Parmesan), with a touch of piment d’espelette to meet the whole. I am sure that it makes you want, no ?!

Arugula-walnut Pesto

Ingredients (for 1 jar)

  • 100 g arugula
  • 80 g of Pecorino cheese
  • 15 cl of olive oil
  • 1 handful of pine nuts
  • 1 small clove of garlic
  • The Espelette pepper
  • Salt and pepper

Put all the ingredients together in a blender and mix until you obtain a consistency finely granular.
Add a little olive oil if needed.

Use with pasta, in lasagna, with fish in short as you see fit !
