I’ve always liked bananas, but what I loved above all, it was to see my father do bananas. I was impressed to see it with his stove on fire, and I think it added a bit to impress us by asking us to push us out as far as possible, while at the bottom of the kitchen. And then what I also liked, it was the feeling of power a little taste of the rum… ��

We were left then, each with our banana flambe and licked deliciously our dessert plate so you don’t miss a drop. For me, this is a recipe that allows me to make a return to childhood, and I delight as much as ever of a banana flambe. And yes … I lick always on my plate ! ��

Banana flambéed in rum, brown

To 2 Save Print Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 teaspoon of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 2 caps of rum



  • In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Cut the bananas into 2 in the direction of the length and drop them in the pan. Sprinkle with vanilla and brown lightly on each side.
  • Add brown sugar and return again to the bananas after 2 minutes. Increase a little your fire and let caramelize.
