Gentleman gave me last Christmas, a hotbed and seeds because I love the sprouted seeds. Even if the production of these last time really is very irregular (yes Mini-Mademoiselle takes us a lot but then a lot of time !!!), I still love as much to discover new varieties of seeds that germinate. And this time we’re going to talk about beans, adzukis, but if you know, these beans are used in Japan are eaten rather as a dessert with the famous bean paste adzukis (by the way I made a kringle very interesting !).

Anyway, this fried rice with onions is the small dish typical of : 1. I have not too much time, 2. I do not want to take the lead 3. I have nothing in my cupboards (strike out the useless mention !). And then as you can see in the photo that follows, I have accompanied what rice good little mushrooms just seasoned with a vinaigrette miso and hop for a well balanced breakfast (that we talked about the test of the shirt ?! In any case not me!!) !

Fried rice with onions and sprouts of beans, adzukis

Ingredients (for 2 people)

  • 200 g of cooked rice (type basmati or thai)
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 1 red onion
  • 50 g of seeds of beans, adzukis
  • 1 drizzle of vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp of soy sauce (shoyu)
  • 1 pinch of five-spice
  • 1 pinch of sugar


Snip finely the onions and put them in a wok with a drizzle of oil. Sauté over low heat 5 minutes, stirring. Pour over the soy sauce and then add the sugar and spices.

Then add the rice and turn up the heat. Do skip the while stirring regularly for 5 minutes.

Finally, add the sprouts, beans, adzukis and continue cooking for 1 minute.

Serve immediately.
