Here is a small recipe of bread of spices perfect for everything ! As a snack, as a dessert, at breakfast with a pat of butter it will be just perfect. But why not also to make toasts salted with fatty liver or cheese, or in croutons on a small vegetable soup… brief, you will have plenty of choice to accommodate it… finally if there is any left !!!

Ah the gingerbread…a real childhood memory (yes, yes remember you grandpa B…. during the tasting !).

Gingerbread

Ingredients (for a cake)

  • 200 g of wheat flour T80
  • 100 g of rye flour
  • 200 g of honey of mountain
  • 50 g of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 15 cl of milk
  • 15 g butter
  • 1/2 packet of yeast
  • 1 c to c of baking soda
  • 1 c to c of cinnamon powder
  • 1 c to c of ginger powder
  • 1 c to c of anise powder
  • 1/2 c nutmeg

Description

Preheat the oven to 190°.

Put the milk and the honey to heat on low heat in a saucepan until the honey is dissolved. Off the heat, stir in the eggs to this mixture and whisk slightly.

Melt the butter.

In a bowl, mix the flour, the yeast, the bicarbonate, the sugar and spices together, then make a well. Pour in the center the milk mixture, honey, eggs and stir with a wooden spoon. When the mixture is homogeneous, add the melted butter.

Pour the batter into a buttered cake mold or anti-adhesive.

Bake for 45 min.

Turn out of the tin out of the oven.
