Nothing beats the taste of fresh corn just out of the ear, it is completely different from the corn grain that is found in tin cans. I am fortunate to be able to find corn on the cob while fresh in my organic grocer, but you can also find them in traditional stores.

This recipe is really simple and is inspired by the cuisine of South america, eating with your fingers of course!!

Grilled corn with spices and lime

Ingredients (for 2)

  • 2 ears of fresh corn
  • 1 lime
  • 1 c. c. of chili powder
  • 1 c. c. of cumin powder
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper


Remove the ears of their membrane, wash them and put them to blanch in salted boiling water for 8-10 minutes. Drain well once cooked.

Preheat the oven to 200°.

In a bowl, pour a drizzle of olive oil, spices and salt and pepper and mix.

Cut the cob into pieces and brush with the oil mixture and spices.

Bake for 7 minutes.

At the exit of the oven, sprinkle lime juice and enjoy immediately.
