I think that I don’t teach you anything, telling you that tomorrow is Valentine’s day ! Hearts, hearts and more hearts…and yes, there is a little blue flower by here for Valentine’s day, and for the holiday of lovers, we want the cute and the gnangnan !!!

I bought my “pie mold” in the United States at William Sonoma, but I’m sure you can find models of molds similar in France.

So why not surprise your sweetheart with these cute pies in the shape of a heart and decorated with red apples…?!

Heart walk at the red apple {Valentine’s day}

Ingredients (makes 8 pies)

  • 8 apples with red flesh (here the Pink Permain)
  • 50 g of sugar cane
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar

For the dough

  • 390 g of flour
  • 250 g of butter
  • 50 g of cane sugar + 3 tbsp for sprinkling
  • 8 cl of water
  • 1 c. c. of salt


Make the dough, to do this put in your robot the flour, the sugar and the salt and mix. Then add the cold butter cut into small cubes, and water as. Beat until obtaining a smooth dough.

Refrigerate 2 hours.

Prepare the stuffing with apples, to do this, peel the apples and cut into quarters. Put in a saucepan with the sugar and let it ‘stew’ for 15 minutes over low heat. Book, and leave to cool.

Preheat the oven to 200°.

Roll out the dough about 3 mm thick, cut into a heart shape or use a mold to walk.

Add a little applesauce in the center and close with a other pieces of dough in the shape of a heart. Solder well and have the pies on a baking sheet.

Gild the tops of the pies with a beaten egg with 1 c. c. of water. Sprinkle with a little sugar.

Bake for 20 min.
