Ah the peas raw… sin cute of my mom and I have to admit a bit of me too ! Then, in order to sublimate this small vegetable of the season, I’ve been wanting to make hummus, a hummus of green peas. I’m a big fan of spreads of all kinds, and the hummus is one of my favorites, and this hummus all green I can tell you that it is very much a part of my top 3 ! Lightweight and good taste of green peas raw, it is perfect served on toast, or enjoyed with bread sticks or veggies and dip. Yes I know, it makes you want a good drink, this is the goal… so why not get one tonight for the end of the weekend (yes everything is good as an excuse to take a drink !) ?!

Hummus of green peas {vegan – gluten-free} 2015-06-21 16:20:03 To 6 people Save Print Ingredients

  • 200 g chickpeas, rehydrated and cooked
  • 200 g green peas fresh
  • 3 tablespoons of tahina (cream sesame seed)
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • The juice of 2 lemons
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

 

Preparation

  • Crush in a mortar the garlic clove and the salt.
  • In a blender, place the chickpeas, peas, and preparing garlic/salt.
  • Mix and add water, the juice of the lemons, the olive oil and tahina and mix again, the mixture should be more or less smooth.
  • Serve on toast and garnish with peas costs.
