I am an addict of spreads of all kinds, you have already seen on this blog the hummus, eggplant caviar, hummus of zucchini… and the list goes on, but today it is spread way hummus with white beans that I offer.

Yes yes yes I love cooking middle eastern, and there the pomegranate is the queen of fruits. In juice or chewable, full of vitamins, its little nuggets like rubies are treasures to be enjoyed without moderation !

Hummus white beans, pine nuts and pomegranate {vegan}

Ingredients

  • 100 g of dried white beans
  • 6 tbsp of tahina
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • The juice of 2 lemons
  • 50 g of pine nuts
  • 15 cl of water (more or less depending on desired consistency)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • The seeds of half a pomegranate
  • 1/2 c. to c. of coarse salt

Description

Do soak the beans 24 hours in cold water before you cook them 40 minutes (approximately) in boiling salted water. Drain and set aside.

Crush in a mortar the garlic cloves and the salt.

Mix together white beans, pine nuts, and preparing garlic/salt. Add the water gradually to loosen the mixture and get to a consistency of cream.

Then add the juice of the lemons, the olive oil and tahina and mix again, the mixture should be smooth.

Put the hummus in a bowl and garnish with the pomegranate seeds.

Enjoy it with Arabic bread.
