This recipe makrouts the oven has dragged on for a little while in my drawers so I say banco, as long as it is after Mardi Gras, nothing scares you ! But think again because this recipe is not cooked in oil but in the oven, yes, remember, I don’t really like frying my home and then I think about your line (and mine !) ! In fact I must confess to you something I love makrouts, it is my sin cute then a version in the oven with a little sugar it is still the holy Grail, provided that you do not confuse semolina and semolina for couscous… yes, because you’re screwed otherwise !

In short it is a bit long to do but the game is definitely the candle, and it is still the class to Dalas to bring it to the girlfriends of the job/ beautiful – mom/ your dwarf to the exit of the school (cross out the useless mention).

Makrouts in the oven {without milk}

For a thirty Save Print Ingredients

  • 550 g of semolina average
  • 25 cl vegetable oil neutral
  • 15 cl of water
  • 2 tablespoons of orange blossom
  • 100 g of flour
  • 400 g of pulp of dates
  • 100 g of sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons of orange blossom
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil neutral
  • A little water (optional)
  • 200 g of honey



  • Mix together the semolina and the oil and let it sit for 2 hours.
  • Then add to the mixture the water, the orange flower water and the flour then mix by hand or the robot equipped with a sheet and let stand 1 hour minimum.
  • During this time prepare the stuffing, for this mix together all the ingredients to form a ball (add a little water if necessary to loosen the mixture).
  • Preheat the oven to 175°.
  • Then train as many rolls of dough as rolls of stuffing.
  • Make a hollow in the center of the sausage of dough and then incorporate the stuffing and close with the dough and then flatten slightly. Do the same with the rest of the dough and the stuffing.
  • Cut the sausage on the bias and remove the makrouts on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Do gently warm the honey to liquefy and dip the makrouts right out of the oven.
  • Let cool and enjoy !
