As it has been several times that I did the ‘reproach’ of not having the revenues bases on my blog, so here I am complete with a classic kitchen, the pastry dough, but without egg since they don’t love me… And then promised, we will also continue with other classics to complete our collection… And like a pie crust never comes alone, it is that there will be much the trim that goes with it, but it’ll have to be patient… You think what ?
Shortcrust pastry without egg
For 1 pie of 22 cm Save Print Ingredients
- 240 g of flour
- 125 g of butter
- 3 tbsp of cold water
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar (optional)
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt and butter cut into small cubes (and sugar if you want a shortcrust pastry sweet). Work quickly by sanding. The butter should be covered with the flour to form ‘sand’.
- Add the water and mix again using your fingers until you obtain a homogeneous paste. It must not be a trace of butter alone.
- Let the rest cool and then lay it out. Prick the bottom with a fork, and garnish according to the recipe you want to make.
