Ah the peas fresh… it is a real pleasure when I can see the lugs on the stalls of the market. First, because it is good to snack on like that as the story Laurence, but also because eating peas carrot is a real pleasure !!! And then as the new potatoes are also in season, I wanted to provide you with a more complete version, and greedy.

Nothing complicated, this is just a basic that I had desire to cook and share with you because the peas carrots they are not all kept a very good memory… But then, there is that vegetables throw in the tooth, to eat as is, or to accompany grilled meat.

Then, memories of canteen or real treat peas carrots ?!

Peas carrots and new potatoes

Ingredients (for 4 people)

  • 600 g green peas fresh (weight of non shelled)
  • 4 large carrots
  • a dozen small new potatoes
  • 1 drizzle of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper


Peel the carrots and then cut them into small cubes.

Wash and cut the potatoes into four or two.

Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a pan and then add the carrots and the potatoes cut. Let cook over medium heat, covered 15 minutes, stirring gently frequently.

During this time écossez the peas and cook in salted boiling water for 4-6 minutes and then drain.

Increase the heat under the pan, check the cooking of the vegetables and add the peas. Let cook for about 2 minutes, then season to taste.

You can feast ! It is to eat without restriction…
