The rice cake is good and it is even better home-made then why deprive yourself ?!
Here is a version with raisins soaked in rum for more than greed, but you are not obligated if you are not a fan or that you don’t have the time ! The recipe is done in two stages, first a rice pudding and then a passage in the oven, but do not worry it is quite simple.
Rice cake with raisins and caramel
Ingredients (makes 6-8 ramekins)
For the rice pudding
- 160 g round rice
- 1 litre of raw milk of preference (or integer)
- 40 g of cane sugar
For the caramel
- 100g of sugar
For the cream to grapes
- 40 cl of liquid cream
- 1 egg + 1 yolk
- 30 g of grapes
- 1 c to s of rum (optional)
Make your rice in the milk as in the recipe of the rice in the milk with the vanilla but without the vanilla.
Put to soak the raisins in hot water or rum if you want.
Start a caramel in the dry at high heat and let it color, but above all, do not stir ! Once the caramel made, divide it in the bottom of the ramekins.
Preheat the oven to 160°.
Beat together the egg yolk and the cream and then add the mixture to the rice in the milk. Then add the raisins (drained) and mix.
Put the mixture into the ramekins and pour in a dish in a bain-marie.
Bake 15 min.
Put cool before serving.
