Bredele bring me back immediately in the family of Mr. in the East of France, and when I close my eyes and that I enjoy, I find myself in the middle of a Christmas market and glittery musical…that imagination you tell me ! Then, it was unthinkable for me not to offer you at least one recipe of bredele for the holidays. I had already proposed the butterbredele last year and this year up to zimtsterne.
What do you want, I love these little cookies that are eaten during advent, and today I have created cute little star to the cinnamon, the so-called zimtsterne.
Would you take a bredele ?!
Ingredients (for quarantine)
- 3 egg whites
- 250 g of icing sugar
- 375 g of powder of almonds complete
- 1 c. c. of flour
- 1 c. c. of cinnamon powder
- 1/2 c. to c. of vanilla powder
Mount the egg whites into firm snow and add the icing sugar in two times, beat a few seconds each time. Take 3 tablespoons of this mixture for the frosting.
Then add the almond powder, whisk the mixture and then add flour if the dough is too sticky.
Roll out the dough to 1 cm thickness between two sheets of parchment paper and store in a cool 2h.
Preheat the oven to 100°.
Take out the dough from the fridge, and then cut out stars using a cookie cutter. With the help of a knife covered in icing sugar to peel off and arrange on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
Using a brush, apply the glaze on the star and then put in the oven for 15 min. Turn down the oven to 80°, and continue baking 15 minutes more (it is not necessary that the frosting colors).
Remove the plate from the oven, allow to cool, the biscuits, peel them and then place them on a rack so that they dry.
Enjoy with a good cup of tea or a hot chocolate !
